Enemies are randomly encountered while traveling through field maps or the world map.
The world map is seen through an aerial view display in which players freely navigate across a small-scale version of the game world. The core structure of the game is very similar to Breath of Fire, consisting of four modes of play: the world map, the field map, a menu screen, and a battle screen. Breath of Fire II is a direct sequel to Breath of Fire, taking place roughly 500 years after the events of the first game. The game was later licensed to Laguna for European release in 1996 and was eventually ported to Game Boy Advance and re-released worldwide and officially made available on the Wii through the virtual console.
S.C.A.T.Breath of Fire II, known in Japan as Breath of Fire II: The Fated Child ( ブレス オブ ファイアII 使命の子, Buresu obu Faia Tsū Shimei no Ko ?), is a role-playing game produced by Tokuro Fujiwara and published in 1994 by Capcom for the Super Nintendo. It includes some downloadable content at no extra cost too, such as the Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise DLC and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass (with the latest course pack now available). Those who pay extra for the Expansion Pack also gain access to classic N64, Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, and Game Boy Advance games. It effectively turns your Nintendo Switch into an NES Classic Mini or SNES Classic Mini. There are more than 100 games available across the collection. Switch Online members also get the chance to play a selection of SNES games, such as Super Mario World and Mario Kart, and Game Boy / Game Boy Color titles, like The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX and Tetris.
